台 湾 プ ラ ス チ ッ ク・ グ ル ー プの子会社ーつである。2003年に台塑生醫を設立した。

事業分野はバイオテクノロジーと医療と健康食品、化粧品の製造販売。

台 湾 プ ラ ス チ ッ ク・ グ ル ー プ（Formosa Plastics Group：FPG、台塑集団）
台湾を代表する企業グループである。事業分野は合成樹脂、繊維、バイオテクノロジー、石油化学、電子部品、運輸、医療、教育、製鉄と多岐に渡る。

1954年に台塑を設立した。2010年の従業員数は99,332人、総資産は2兆9,915億台湾ドル、売上高は2兆1,850億台湾ドル。売上高は同年の台湾のGDPの約15%に相当する。

台湾証券取引所上場銘柄の 2014 年の売上高ランキングによると、第 4 位の台塑石油化学（台塑石化）、第 15 位の台湾化学繊維（台湾化繊）、第 20 位の南亜プラスチック、 第 26 位の台湾プラスチックの台湾プラスチック・ グループの「４つの宝」（トップ 4 社）の合計は 1 兆 8565 億台湾元に達する。

子会社は120社以上、2003年11月 「台塑生醫科技公司 Formosa Biomedical Technology Corporation」を設立。

Formosa Biomedical Technology Corporation was founded on January 1st, 2004. Our mission is to develop and manufacture high-tech, high quality, safe and healthy products by integrating three major resources of Formosa Group in manufacturing, academic studies and clinical research & services. In the mean time, we wish to strengthen our core competency and shape "Formosa Biomedical Technology Corporation" as an international brand on the basis of our unique core technology, company culture and characteristics of products.

Moreover, the sales profit will be fed back to Chang Gung University and other institutes as funding to research, develop and cultivate talent, which in turn establishes a unified and close-cooperative team. At the end, we can build up a platform which combines researches, clinical trials and manufacture, which leads to create new opportunities of Biomedical Technology.

In addition to the detergent and materials originated from Formosa Chemicals & Fiber Corporation, Formosa Biomedical Technology Corporation also specializes in cosmetics and functional texture. And we will continue cooperating with universities and hospitals to develop diagnostic reagents instrumentation and health care products. Furthermore, development of protein drugs and vaccine will also be our research scope in the future.
